Everwinter, previously known as Pluvia, is a country located in the southeast of Ivaldea, a continent on Terra. It borders Solis, the country that used to occupy Everwinter before the civil war that freed Pluvia, to the west. To the north is the river Inanis and to the south is the ferus. To the east is the Harth Coast. The country is ruled by a feudal elective monarchy, selected by the royal council.
While the country was still called Pluvia, it was under control of a king named Velasco Tomaras, who ruled the country with an iron fist. A rebellion grew against him, led by Ultan Grey and later, his son Aedan Grey, a man native to the country. He was aided by the king’s own wife, Queen Alethea of Hingestone.
This happened centuries ago, and despite the two being ordinary people, they have risen to godhood amongst the elves, due to Queen Alethea being an elf, and catans, due to Aedan being half catan. Most of the elves and catan thus follow the same beliefs, although some see it differently. Despite this, they lived in harmony.
The land originally belonged to the catan, who welcomed elven refugees when they were cast out of Solis. Seeing this as a declaration of war, Solis waged war on Everwinter, which led to the occupation that put a human in charge of the country. Throughout the years, many assassinations were attempted on the kings that ruled the country, but none actually landed.
Everwinter

Everwinter has been on my mind for a long while by now. It had so many versions, but it always ended back to just being Everwinter.
