She's punished for disobedience and other petty crimes. One day, she's taken into solitary confinement for several months. Demons try to claw their way inside of her while she longs for food, sleep and freedom. One night, she cuts off her shackled foot and passes out from blood loss. A templar,
Raleigh Samson finds her and takes her into the city of
One night, a sixteen year old Eve is woken up by Templars and taken to be made
Tranquil. Before they get a chance, though, the ground shakes: The Chantry has exploded.
In the chaos, Eve manages to flee Kirkwall and finds her way to
Tevinter. She's found by the Mercar family, who adopt her. Despite this, she never really connected to them. Still, when they join the
Shadow Dragons, so does she, mainly because she believes in their goals.
When Eve turns 27, she's fighting a Venatori ring to free their slaves and prisoners, one of which happens to be
Varric Tethras. He recruits her to stop the
Dread Wolf.
