Dragon Age: Origins
Joining the Grey Wardens
Finally free from the Circle, Cecilia saw being a Grey Warden as a honor. She’s sent into the Korcari Wilds with Alistair, a new Grey Warden, and two initiates like her, Daveth and Jory, to find vials of darkspawn blood and Grey Warden treaties. After finding the blood, they ran into trouble when trying to search for the treaties.
They met Morrigan, whose mother had the treaties. Whilst Alistair, Daveth and Jory were scared of the Witch of the Wilds, Cecilia stayed civil which earned her Morrigan’s respect.
After the Joining
After successfully passing the Joining, Cecilia prepared for the fight, only to hear that she and Alistair would be lighting the beacon to signal Loghain’s army. However, they were quickly overwhelmed by darkspawn.
Lothering and the Imperial Highway
Somehow, Flemeth saved them and let them go on their way, as long as they took Morrigan with them. Morrigan, albeit begrudgingly, led them to Lothering where they met a Chantry Lay Sister, Leliana and a Qunari prisoner, Sten.
Their first stop was Redcliffe Village, per Alistair’s request, which is also where he reveals his noble lineage. Luckily, he could count on Cecilia to still treat him like a Grey Warden, and a friend.
The Arl of Redcliffe
Upon arrival, they found out the village was getting attacked by darkspawn nightly, all coming from the castle. Once they fought off the darkspawn, they needed an entrance to the castle, only for Bann Teagan’s wife to interrupt.
Despite being skeptic, Cecilia and her friends have another way inside the castle. After fighting through the army of skeletons and other demons, they enter the main hall where they find Isolde and Bann Teagan - with Connor, the Arl’s son, who is possessed by a desire demon after wanting to help his father who was poisoned by Jowan.
Jowan was hired by Loghain to infiltrate the castle and poison Arl Eamon and, in turn, hired by Isolde to teach their son to control his newfound magic. Wanting to save Connor, Cecilia headed back to Kinloch Hold where things took a turn for the worse.
Broken Circle
A blood mage had taken control, turning mages into abomination. Knight-Commander Greagoir had already asked for the Right of Annulment, but Cecilia was determined to save the people she grew up with.
She reunited with Wynne, who had the same goal as her, and together, they fought their way through the Circle, saving any mages they could find. Then, they ran into a sloth demon who lulled them into a sleep, sending them into the Fade.
Cecilia woke up in Weisshaupt, greeted by Duncan but as a mage, she doesn’t walk into the demon’s trap. She then found Niall, a mage with the Litany of Adralla - the only way to save the remaining mages.
Having to fight through demons and puzzles, she eventually had to save her companions, each enthralled by demons who took the disguise of someone important in their lives. After defeating the Sloth demon that kept them trapped, they're allowed to leave the Fade. They get the Lithany of Adralla, which they can use to stop the blood mages from turning their fellow mages into demons, and save the Circle, much to the Templar's dismay.
Now with enough mages to help Connor, Cecilia goes back into the Fade to fight the demon in control. A desire demon is eager to offer Cecilia anything she wants - wealth, fame,
love. But she denies all of it and fights the demon, freeing Connor. After this, they have to save Arl Eamon and there is only one way: with the ashes of Andraste, for which they need Brother Genitivi.
Flemeth's Real Grimoire
In the circle, they find a grimoire that actually belongs to Flemeth. Cecilia hands it to Morrigan, who immediately deciphers it. The book describes how Flemeth has lived as long as she has: as she gets old, she raises a daughter only to take over her body when her current body would die. Morrigan, who doesn't wish for this to happen to her, asks Cecilia to deal with Flemeth for her.
Upon traveling back to the blighted Korcari Wilds, they find Flemeth. Initially, Flemeth tries to convince Cecilia to lie to Morrigan, but Cecilia refuses. Cecilia fights her, resulting in Flemeth turning into a dragon. They defeat her, finally killing her, and Cecilia finds Flemeth's real grimoire.
They return to camp and Cecilia hands the real grimoire to Morrigan.
On their way to Denerim, they are ambushed by an Antivan Crow, Zevran Arainai, sent to assassinate Cecilia and Alistair by Loghain. They defeat him but he manages to convince the group to let him join them. Much to Alistair's dismay, Cecilia takes pity on the assassin and allows him to join.
The Urn of Sacred Ashes
In his home in Denerim, they find out he has gone missing and his assistant was murdered, and they need to look for him. Their search leads them to a village called Haven.
Upon arrival in the village, they know something is wrong. It's too quiet and the villagers don't seem too eager to talk. But that's not all, the Chantry of Haven is led by a man. When investigating, and being forced to kill a merchant, they're ambushed by cult members.
Investigating the Chantry, they kill everyone and find Brother Genitivi, who is worse for wear. Still, he is determined to investigate the temple. Inside the temple, they find more cultists, and at last find the leader, Father Kolgrim and the beast they worship: a dragon they believe to be a reincarnation of Andraste. The leader begs for their help to defile the ashes, but Cecilia refuses, resulting in a fight. They venture through the temple alone, when they find the Temple's guardian, who seemingly knows a lot more about them than they about him.
The guardian requests they undergo a series of tests and puzzles, which they agree to. After completing them, they're allowed to fill a pouch with ashes.
They reunite with Brother Genitivi, who wants to share the news of the ashes, but Cecilia initially refuses. All her companions, however, agree that it must be shared.
Once back at Redcliffe, they waste no time getting to Arl Eamon. Once he is cured, he is supposed to judge Jowan, but Cecilia puts in a good word for him, asking to let him return to the Circle. The Arl agrees and then listens to Cecilia's story as she tells him about Loghain Mac Tir. But the bigger issue is the Blight, and Arl Eamon makes it clear they need to make use of the Grey Warden Treaties. They already have help from the Circle and the army of Redcliffe, but they still need to help the Dalish and the Dwarves.
A Paragon of Her Kind
First, they head to the Dwarves, where the king of Orzammar had recently been murdered and now they're too busy to help the Grey Wardens because they need to find a successor.
Cecilia is forced to pick a side between Bhelen and Harrowmont, but it's not as simple as it sounds. She needs to take part in political games by convincing people to vote against one of the candidates.
When she chooses Bhelen, she has to go through the Deep Roads to find Branka, a Paragon. Her husband, Oghren, wants to tag along. Reluctantly, Cecilia agrees and they set off to find her. As they travel through the Deep Roads, they find Hespith (Branka's former lover), whose poem reveals the horrifying truth about what happened, and also reveals how her obsession with the Anvil of the Void drove Branka mad.
Much to Oghren's chagrin, Cecilia sides with the golems, forcing her to kill Branka to destroy the Anvil. Before it's destroyed, Caridin forges a crown, meant to show a Paragon's support for one of the kings. Using the crown, Cecilia decides Bhelen should be king.
In return, he orders for Harrowmont to be executed and offers his army for the fight against the darkspawn army.
The Sword of the Beresaad
One night in camp, Sten reveals his group was attacked by darkspawn, and during the battle he was rendered unconscious. When he awoke, his comrades were dead and his sword was gone. To a Qunari warrior, the sword is the soul. If he were to return to his homeland without his sword, he would be hunted and killed. Out of panic from losing his sword, Sten murdered the farming family who rescued him. Once he came to his senses again he realized that because of what he had just done, he had lost his honor, and so he chose to remain to pay for his crime. Days later he was arrested and brought to Lothering, where the Revered Mother sentenced him to die in the cage where he is found.
Cecilia promises to find his sword for him. The search leads them to the docks of Lake Calenhad. There's a scavenger nearby, who lets them know that he bought acquisition rights to this spot from another looter, who sells in the open market near Orzammar.
When they get there, they discover from the merchant that he sold the sword to a dwarven mercenary named Dwyn, who lives in Redcliffe. Thanks to Sten, Cecilia is able to intimidate Dwyn into returning the sword.
Sten thanks Cecilia for this, and vows to remain by her side until the Blight is defeated.

Nature of the Beast
Cecilia then travels to the Brecilian Forest to meet with a Dalish encampment, Zathrian's clan. The Keeper, Zathrian, claims he cannot honor the ancient treaties, however, because his hunters were recently attacked and afflicted with a virulent disease after a werewolf ambush. In return for help from the Dalish, he requests Cecilia bring him the heart of the first werewolf, Witherfang
Cecilia heads into the Brecilian forest, apprehensive of Zathrian. Soon, she finds out why she was apprehensive. Upon entering the ruins, Cecilia enters the lair of the werewolves where she meets a Gatekeeper. The Gatekeeper claims he was sent by
The Lady to offer an opportunity to parley, which she accepts. He then takes her to meet The Lady of the Forest who tells Cecilia the story of the curse Zathrian put on the human settlers.
As Cecilia finds she cannot judge innocent people for wandering into the forest, she agrees to bring Zathrian to The Lady of the Forest at her request. She makes it clear she doesn't pick a side, and merely wishes to negotiate with the two of them.
At first, Zathrian refuses and starts a fight, which he loses. After this, he agrees to lift the curse, killing him and the Lady of the Forest. The werewolves return to their human form and Lanaya takes over the Dalish clan, offering her support against the darkspawn army.
Wynne's Regret
On their way back to camp, Wynne collapses. When pushed, she finally opens up about her regrets. She tells the story of an apprentice named Aneirin and Cecilia promises she'll look for him.
At the Dalish camp, they find an elf who leads them to Aneirin. He gives Wynne a token that strengthens the spirit of Faith inside of her.
The Landsmeet
When Arl Eamon of Redcliffe recovers, he suggests calling a Landsmeet to end the civil war and the fight for the throne, with the support of the Warden Treaties and Alistair's claim to the throne. Upon arrival in Denerim, they are greeted by Loghain, who is joined by Cauthrien and Rendon Howe.

The following codexes relate to Cecilia Amell
"The Hero of Ferelden belonged to the Circle of Magi in Ferelden, and resided in the tower at Lake Calenhad for most of their life. First Enchanter Irving recommended the Hero to Grey Warden Commander Duncan; shortly after the Hero's Harrowing, Duncan recruited her into the order.
The Hero fought and killed the Archdemon, and lived to tell the tale. With the Archdemon gone, the darkspawn ranks broke, and the horde was easily routed.
After ending the Blight, the Hero of Ferelden took up the mantle of Warden-Commander and began the task of rebuilding the order in Ferelden."

"To Her Worship, Inquisitor Trevelyan:
I appreciate your warning regarding Corypheus. Fortunately, my own search has taken me out of the area where the supposed magister is operating, and while I have encountered challenges of my own, they have not involved any weakness related to my Grey Warden abilities.
As I have little useful information to offer, please accept the accompanying gifts instead. If, in my quest, I find anything that may be of use to you in your fight against Corypheus, I will send it to you immediately.
I have also included a note of a personal nature for Leliana. I was not there for the death of Divine Justinia, but I know it will have hurt her terribly. While her wits and her skill are amazing, Leliana's greatest strength lies in her faith, and to have Justinia die strikes at her very core. I beg you, if she is faltering, help her find her way back into the light.
Yours,
Warden-Commander Amell of Ferelden"
